Colour on a Grey Day

Colour on a Grey Day

Worth a visit. A lovely space but glad I always ask the best way to view several floors. This is the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

It was definitely a grey day and the rain about to begin, and boy, it was cooold.

So looking for colour was on my mind. And colour I found. I adore colour and find it hard to see how other painters go for more more neutral palettes. one painter had spent his whole life painting White. Just white. On varying textures but HOW could he do it!

That’s why it’s so good to go and get your mind shaken around a bit. I then think about all I’ve seen and try to work out what makes these artists tick. No doubt it’s easier only to look at art you like, but it doesn’t challenge if you don’t move out of your comfort zone.

Finished my visit sitting in the cafe watching the traffic tearing past on it’s way home. It was dark and it was 5pm. But a good day.
