Paris Sketches

This a small collection of some of my Paris sketches. All were done as I spent time wandering and observing the delights of life in Paris in 2010.

I hope you enjoy the journey with me. Wander and enjoy the lovely moments sketching allows you to have.

We will be back in Paris in May 2013 and you may even like to join us there as we add new work to our Sketch books.

Notre Dame, from Pont Sully

Notre Dame, from Pont Sully

We stood on the bridge and sketched the most famous icons of Paris. There they were, right in front of us. You can feel the history as you gaze upon them.

A favourite corner I would pass daily on the way home.

I love sitting on the park benches observing French locals living out their daily lives.

Cafe Bouledogue

This was one of my local cafes around the corner from my apartment.

Montmartre

Sitting on the steps coming down the La Butte, this was a lovely sketch of locals and tourists enjoying the cafe.

Cafe Le No Stress

Cafe Le No Stress

Near Moulin Rouge, and down some interesting side streets is this quite trendy cafe. It truly is called that.

Sacre Couer View

The view from Amy’s rooftop apartment. Love all the rooftops and chimney pots.

From Rue de Sebastopol

I’d sit here and de-stress after my days at French School. Sketching is perfect for relaxing you.

From another cafe, a typical corner near our apartment.

Well you know where this is! I had to sketch here, and visit the bathroom to see if it was same as the movie!
