Sketch Club in the rain. Who cares. I’d been looking forward to going again to the Royal Botanical Gardens and finding the views I didn’t have time for the first week. Took the ferry to the city and walked past the Opera house to the gardens.
As it turned out the organisers decided we should all go to Government House and sketch from the wide verandahs. If it rained we’d be sheltered. And rain it did.
This was a pretty nice spot to gaze out from. I had a good chair and a table beside me. My sandwich and drink in my bag. Drawing gear in hand. Fantastic plants trees and gardens laid before me.
And then what should I see cruising through the gap on the horizon – the Manly ferry. Quickly added that with the other brave souls out yachting on a wet ol’ day.
When the rain looked like stopping i did another sketch looking back this way. Coming soon.
