I found this sketchbook tucked away, in which I’d done a few sketches while spending some time in Paris in 2008.
At the time I was concentrating a lot on watercolour painting, and not much on sketching. It’s only in the last year or so I’ve turned towards sketching in such a big way.
So when I saw these again, they brought back so many memories of the chilly April days I was exploring and looking for painting locations. I’m really glad I found them as I think this shows how a sketch can sum up so much which photos cannot.
These sketches are quite revealing to me as I was going through an interesting time, and I can see it in the sketches!
I’ll put the other 2 up in a day or so.
