Sketchclub. Monthly Sketch&Wine Evening.

TUESDAY JANUARY 27 6.30 – 8.30pm

TUESDAY JANUARY 27   6.30 – 8.30pm

Tonight was our Sketch your Recipe night. Bring along your favourite recipe and a few ingredients, and design your recipe as illustrations.

Several people braved the torrential downpours and managed to make it to the Studio. A few simply put their pyjamas on and refused to venture out!

Some glasses of wine, some tasty nibbles and catching up with other sketchers, and  before long Christy and Toni had recipes being created everywhere. Toni has an idea of creating a book of these which people can share and add to. So ‘Sketch your Recipe’ could become a regular event, among many themes yet to be on the menu – pardon the pun.

We’ve found Sketchclub is becoming a very popular way for those who can’t get to regular classes but still need the inspiration from the tutors and other sketchers to spark them along.

I’m including a sketch from one who couldn’t beat the weather, but spent the evening sketching her ingredients at home. So pleased to see she was thinking of us. Image 3 …………………………………………………………………………………………………

DECEMBER 1st 2014   6.30 – 8.30pm

DECEMBER 1st 2014   6.30 – 8.30pm

• A happy and jovial evening spent sipping wine, sharing different card making tips as a group, tasting very yummy Christmas goodies (including a very nice Christmas cake made by Therese), and enjoying a fabulous couple of hours this evening in the company of such lovely people.

• A few felt inspired to pick flowers and greenery on the way in, as an additional theme for the cards. An “inch worm” which had found himself carried into the studio, became the centre of attention and made his way to stardom, featuring in some of the sketches.

• The evening being such a success, and enjoyment for all, was well received by those attending and we all can’t wait to do it again next month with a new theme to look forward to.
