Sketching Week 10. Classical Architecture

A beautiful week at Balmoral Beach for all our classes completing week 10. We scored fine weather each time and shared our sketching space on the island with a couple of resident bunnies.

Now at last you can see everybody’s sketches together.

The results are truly inspiring from every student. You’ve all done incredibly well with quite complex subjects. We covered rounds and ellipses, perspective and composition and – where do you want your eye to go in your sketch? Bring the focus there.

For our new sketchers completing Week 5, it was eye level perspective and sketching realtime by finding which line of bricks was YOUR eye level. This is an ‘eye opener’ and sets you up for everything where perspective comes into play. Excellent sketches here.

Here we go……

Hi all, I live everyone’s sketches of one of my favourite places in the world! I know the Pavillon is a tough one, but so recognisable and attractive. Warm wishes to all, xMonique
