I can’t help but think that our tutors at EHSketching have the best job in the world.
When we see what you achieve every week, some of you never having sketched before , our hearts just swell with pride.
To hear someone say ‘This is the best thing I’ve ever done’.
Or ‘This has changed my life’.
Or ‘Ive been to so many art classes and in a few lessons, I’ve learnt more here than in all the others’.
And so it goes on. But we can take it!
For us, we can see you blossom. That confidence which comes with the sheer pleasure of doing something creative and loving it. Losing fear. Not worrying. Hard to beat and this week was no exception.
Week 6 for New Sketchers was the toughest lesson we do. Not a squeak when told the gorgeous fruit and vegetable still life was not for them!
No no. It was eye level perspective. We take it step by step and somehow you all grasped the concept. Applying it to a real building is trickier but you produced terrific sketches.
General classes were having a food and gelato week. Something to get delicious looking sketches on your pages – and you certainly did. Rich colour, plenty of whites left round the edges. Lovely layering. We only use minimum colours and look what you can do.
