Food&Sketch Day Trip to Cabramatta. Wednesday Sept 28 ’16
We are introducing you to a completely new way to combine your passion for both sketching and great food.
Anna Barnes has joined ErinHill Sketching to create our new Food&Sketch day trips. Anna has studied Fine Arts and Social Anthropology, has her Masters in Design Science and a top chef in Sydney’s restaurants for 25 years. She is also a very passionate sketcher. She is particularly fond of Vietnam and the foods from that region.
Our first Food&Sketch day will be to Cabramatta. Beginning at 10am and finishing at 3pm, we’ll re take you to most interesting food markets, trying regional dishes in local restaurants, seeing the foods being prepared and a chance to buy the ingredients you are seeing and tasting. Non Sketchers more than welcome.
Cost: Sketchers $150. Non Sketchers $125
Where to meet: We will meet at The Water Buffalo statue just inside the Chinese gateway. It is located on the walking street known as “Cabramatta Freedom Plaza” (at 54 Park Rd, Cabramatta) that runs between Arthur St and John st. The water buffalo is closest to Cabramatta Gate on Arthur street.
Where to Park: A multi level carpark is located via Dutton Lane. Head down Hughes St and you will see the queue of cars waiting patiently to get into the carpark. Don’t worry, you will eventually get a park. I usually head straight for the top level.
Coming by Train: Freedom Plaza is directly down Arthur St, opposite the railway station.
Toilets: Its best to use the public restroom located on the ground floor of the carpark. It is situated in the middle of the carpark, between the new and the old sections. I recommend a visit before commencing the tour.
